Ice Cream ( Low Fat)
Doesn't it sound amazing?? Ice Cream, that too low fat
When it comes to ice cream, whether he is a child or an adult, everyone starts twisting their tongue in and out their mouth and each and every taste bud craves for the creamy layer to melt on their tongue and flow inside, leaving a smooth and soothing experience.
But normal ice cream, as the name suggests contains high amounts of cream pertaining to deposition of fats in the body.
And some people see all processed food toxic except which are made at home.
So, here I present the recipe, tried and tested, home made, chemical free, pure vegetarian, ice-cream and obviously with less cream. :P
Ever wondered why market ice cream is so fluffy and home made ice cream solid like brick??
This is because market ice cream is incorporated with air and contains emulsifiers that avoid crystallization of water present in milk and cream. So, here we go.
Ingredients :-
All the ingredients are for standard volumes, all the amounts can be integrally multiplied for more servings.
1.Standard Milk 250 ml
(Natural milk cream
should not be removed)
2.Fresh Cream 10-20 ml
(As per creamy experience)
3.Ground Sugar 3 Tablespoon
4.Custard Powder 1.5 Tablespoon

Procedure:-
1.Take about 50 ml cold milk and mix in the Custard powder and bring rest of the milk to boil.
2.Mix the custard mixed milk and about 2 tablespoon sugar in boiling milk and cook until it becomes really thick.
3.Bring the custard to room temperature and then put it in the Mixer/Grinder in the Shake making jar(because it incorporated air in the shakes and then the shake rises in volume), and turn the Mixer/Grinder on.
4.Let it do its thing until the custard rises in the volume a bit.
5.Put the custard in Freezer until it is partially frozen.
6.Repeat Step 3 with this partially frozen ice cream and add cream and rest of the sugar and turn the Mixer/Grinder on until it is completely liquid.
7.Put it in the freezer again and wait until frozen.
8.Now, scrape off the Scoops with Scoop scraper, add your favorite toppings and enjoy.
If you want to make fruit ice cream then add small pieces of soft fruits after Step 6.
You may try variations with flavor concentration with increment of custard powder and sweetness by increment or decrement of sugar and creamy texture by increasing amount of cream added.
Caution: This ice cream is not like one in the market because they use many chemical or Non-Veg compounds as emulsifiers, more amount of cream, Special Ice cream makers to incorporate air, and big deep freeze freezers but still it is really good enough to make family members smile. :)
