Healthy hair and hair loss protocol


Have you ever gone through hair falling? No trust me, this is not one of the advertising articles that you come across while searching for some useful data. Many of you have bought expensive medicines, lotions and even might have thought about hair transplant but at the end you only got tired right? Some medicines and lotions would have worked but temporarily till you didn't stop drugging your bloodstream with those OTC or prescription drugs or made your bald area highlighted by shining it out with a lotion(Sarcastic :P). Some of you would have thought why it happens to you when you take care of yourself much more than who don't suffer from the same problems. Today, I'll tell you many scientific facts that would give answers to most of your questions.

There's a man named Jarred Gates. Famous for his hair rebuild program. Well I didn't really want to buy the program so I conducted the research myself. You may find some points not so convincing and that is because:
Hair industry is a multi-million dollar industry. If by any chance it crashes due to any reason. The economy of many countries would go down by huge percentages. Therefore, such information is prevented to be made public.
I found the causes of the problems and reverse-engineered them to lead me to solutions.

Science behind your hairs:

Hairs are made from Bio-Keratin material (Same material nails are made of), which is a derived protein. Thus, the protein intake plays a key role in Bio-Keratin formation.

Knowing 5-alpha reductase (5-αR):

It and testosterone both are the hormones that are present in every human body may it be male or female. 5-alpha reductase is the only chemical that converts testosterone to DHT (Dihydro-testosterone).

Testosterone ------------(In presence of 5-αR)------------->Dihydro-testosterone (DHT)


What Dihydrotestosterone does?

DHT surrounds the inner lining of hair follicles and lead to following consequences:

  • Hair thinning: DHT resists the hairs to gain the nutrition from the follicle lining due to which hairs are not able to get enough nutrition to make them like everyone expects them to be.
  • Damage to Hair Follicles: Due to DHT, hair follicles also endure the damage. From each follicle man hairs grow out. If it suffers damage then number of hairs growing out of the follicles may reduce. So as to compensate for the low energy it can supply to sustain a healthy living for hairs and thus the hair density decreases.
  • Baldness When the hair follicles have taken enough damage that they can no longer supply energy to keep a single hair standing the hair follicle becomes dead and the era of baldness starts in the individual's life.


Why it happens only to some not all?

The answer is purely genetic. Conversion of testosterone to DHT in large amounts is a consequence of hormonal imbalance. Hormonal changes in every human being happen in different way but some may inherit it from their predecessors. This is the only reason why some people including hair specialists refer baldness as "Hereditary Problem", but in reality you always remain unknown from the other side of the coin. Hormonal changes are inherited baldness is a choice of lifestyle. That's the reason all males do not end up with DHT levels up.

ANSWER UNFOLDED: When medications relating to problem are taken, they temporarily slow down or stop the conversion of 5-αR to DHT. But as soon as they are stopped, the reaction starts again and you then stand from where you started.

Knowing Your Hairs:
  • When baldness or hair thinning occurs on head. Hairs on the other body parts may thicken so as to compensate for the loss.
  • 90% hairs always remain in growing stage that means they keep on growing and rest 10% are those few hairs which do not grow and undergo regeneration of their hair follicle from the derived nutrition.
  • If enough nutrition is not provided then either the hair follicle do not regenerate completely or more hairs would come in rest stage to provide nutrition. Let's take an example: If 20 hairs are in rest stage and there are 4 hair follicles to be regenerated but there is nutrition for regeneration of only 3 hair follicle then 5 more hairs would come to rest stage to provide the remaining 1 follicle the nutrition to regenerate.
  • If proper protein intake is not done, then the resting stage me occur prematurely and disproportionately.
How to tackle DHT:
  • Avoid animal fats: Any type of animal fat, may it be dairy product, eggs or meat when digested by body leads to hormonal imbalance which leads to more of the 5-αR-DHT conversion. Only animal fat should be avoided animal protein would not lead to same results.
  • Keeping diet purely balanced: Having the balanced diet of all type of nutrition namely, Carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins, Vitamins and Minerals would help a lot. This would ensure not only proper intake of protein for hairs but also keep the hormonal changes to stable state since the sugar and glycogen levels will rise up and down in a stable manner.
  • Eat enough Protein:Recommended daily protein intake for an adult is 1g/Kg weight of body. For example, a person weighing 70 KG need to take approx. 70 grams of protein daily. Since it's the only component of food that is neither stored nor produced by the body. Therefore, it makes protein intake more crucial.
  • <Avoid Masturbation: How ridiculous the idea may sound but masturbation increases the level of testosterone disproportionately to that of dopamine in brain. Which again leads to hormonal imbalance. Having sex is no problem because it elevates testosterone and dopamine levels proportionately (Unless you're a sex addict).
PS:Many points in the article are not verified by scientific resources. But there are no side effects to solutions given. Instead they'll help you to have a healthy lifestyle. So they're worth a try.

Ever thought you could have done better the task you just did and are worth more than people think you are but are unable to showcase the best out of you personality?? Well here are some why's and wont's and do's and don'ts.

Be an Early Riser:

Believe it or not, rising early in the morning and watching the sunrise few seconds will ultimately fill you with positive energy and try to think of the fortunate and happy moments passed in your life. You won't even notice but you'd be smiling. Due to he positive feeling you'll feel a flood of self worth feeling in you and day by day all the negative thoughts will be in abyss. This may not sound logical but such feelings can tweak your cognitive skills a bit at the start of your day and lead to vast consequences in the daily routine.








Intense Exercise:

It is scientifically proven that intense exercise increases the redevelopment of lost neurons in daily activities by  30 Percent and our nervous system is responsible for most of the efficiency issues and also nervous is mostly made of neurons. You may yourself be seeing the connection now. Exercise is best if done in morning because the benefited consequences will make your day well. Exercise shall be done empty stomach ( and that means before eating anything and after passing the stool out). If you can do then HIIT ( High intensity Interval training ) is best since it consumes much less time than any other exercise and gives more benefit than going to gym (Unless you want to add bulks) so that would flexibly fit in busy schedule. It also drastically increases the metabolism so burning fat while not doing exercise comes into being. Well getting fit body is done now's the turn for brain.


Improving Mental Ability:

Practicing yoga, meditation or some concentration exercise is like an intense workout for brain. It will greatly benefit your thinking, learning, grasping and understanding ability, since they increase the blood flow in the brain and feeds most of the oxygen to the brain so it can work at full efficiency. Do the Improving of Mental Ability after the HIIT because if you'll do physical exercise after the mental exercise then the blood flow will increase in the body and not the brain so that won't fulfill our motive so do the mental exercise after the HIIT followed by a short rest. 





Short Nap:
Since. the brain hasn't evolved so much to develop a lymphatic system for itself like the other body parts, which leads to the generation of AMYLOID BETA in the CSF ( Cerebro Spinal Fluid) which hampers the brain efficiency. But it is scientifically proven that the Amyloid Beta is flushed out in bloodstream when we sleep, thus clearing the CSF and making the brain healthy. So if possible, it is best to take a short nap between the work hours or in lunch time to flush out some Amyloid Beta and recharge the brain to work more efficiently. A short nap may increase brain's efficiency by 20 to 40 Percent. Nap should not be more than 30 minutes and not less than 20 minutes. If a nap is not possible than you can take Power Nap, which is a 5 minute nap in full comfort.





Sleeping Well:

Sleeping is much more necessary than waking up all night to finish the work before deadline. While sleeping all the Amyloid Beta generated in the whole day is flushed out. When we sleep our metabolism decreases and this is when the body regenerates the lost tissues during the working of day. Yes, actually this is the time when the body heals itself and not letting the body heal itself may lead to some really bad consequences. There should be no disturbances while sleeping. Hypothetically, there are 3 stages of sleep. REM sleep happens in the third stage. When we feel mild discomfort of any type it may shift from third stage to second or to first. This is when it get's complicated. Our sleep is disturbed without even being noticed. Though we can't notice, but it drastically slows the healing process. So every sleep should be quality sleep not quantity sleep.

Being Alone: Boon or Bane


Like me, there would be thousands of boys and girls who at some point of there life have felt alone with very little social interactions and no-one to spend time with except you yourself. If you are one of them then some would be happy that they explored a new part of life of which most of the people are unaware and some would be ridiculing the times they went through "That" time and term that time as "Suffering" and misery and remember the time as the most dreaded times of their life.
Well, here's what according to me is the topic, Boon and Bane sides of being alone.



Being alone has wonderful personality development opportunities but in some ways, it is drastic too..

Being Alone as Boon:

Exploring a new world:
There is a new world to explore, where only peace and silence awaits, where there is nothing to worry about and no one to worry for, neither you have anyone to worry for you, in basic terms you are a free soul, can do anything you want and like the way you want. You would decide your own outcomes, you would be your own student and your own teacher, you'll be amazed by how much you already knew when you will learn from yourself. The true beauty of nature can only be felt if you any point of life explored this world. For those who didn't, you have been enjoying only "Scenic" beauty of nature not the "True" one.

All the Time is yours:
When you are alone, you are not expected by anyone to give or spend your time with them, all the time is yours, this statement may sound quite obvious and simple but only those who don't have time for themselves know the value of time. So respect the gift you are gifted with. You can do all the work required to survive in the world and still after that you'll be left with more than enough time to spend and learn many new things from the most awesome person in the world, and that's you.

Exploding Creativity:
Whenever you have any type of company, their thinking, words and mindsets, whether you admit or not change your behavior, thinking, language and mindset. You won't even notice the changes they had been feeding to your brain unconsciously which are manifested by your brain subconsciously and when the changes become powerful enough they take a physical form as your actions or consequences of your actions, but when don't have any type of company, you don't change for no reason. You change for the better. You think what you can think and no one else because then no one restricts or manipulates your thinking by any subconscious remote control. You are the master of your brain, you can train it in any way you like.

Love for Body:
In the hectic life, we get no time to exercise or to stay fit. For a healthy living, physical fitness is necessary. When you have all the time and all the creativity you are leading to the steps of physical fitness. Since, you have time, you can try out every single exercise you learned from any resource in the world and adopt the one that suits you and when you'll start exercising you'll start understanding the physics of exercising and how it biologically affects humans. Through your creativity you can invent new exercises or modify the existing ones and then practice them according to you. Exercising must always be a fun activity and then you can be the ultimate machine who can create or modify exercise that your hormone fed brain would like. Since, you have all the time, you'll never ever get busy enough to say "I should miss exercise today else I'll be delaying the other work" thus keeping you on schedule. And when you have finally understood the physics of exercise you can generate your own exercise schedules to get leaner.(The more on physical fitness will be covered in future posts.)

Love for Food:
For a fit body, feeding it with healthy food is necessary. When you have time, you just start saying "It's boring"!, well it's never boring to improvise the quality of life, you can research how the feeding works, how our body reacts to which food and then personally experiment each of the findings on yourself and then use the result for yourself to improve the quality of life.

Love your brain:
Since, time is there, health is there, good food is there, now's the time for brain training. The only requirement is will power and time (which you already have). Abandon the world of cold, dark and negative atmosphere and step into the warm, bright and positive environment of new world you've explored. You've a lot to see and feel. Feed you brain with good thoughts, stay positive. Humans have the strange capability of resisting change whether it is for good or bad they always resist the change. Train your brain to take a command on this capability and change for good, read positive attitude encouraging books and quoted and try implementing them in your life.

Love yourself:
Let's start from beginning, when you have all the time, you are physically fit, eating good food, and have been training your brain for good. You are nearly invincible now. You made an invincible soldier of yourself who would be greatly efficient to fight the ups and downs of life and a you also made a good human of yourself so that you would be able to enjoy "true" beauty of nature I talked about. Ever saw a person sitting alone on a bench in a park and enjoying the moment alone, well you might have seen many but only few of them are really experiencing the "True" beauty of nature.
Talking about myself, due to time, health, food and brain I explored another side of me and learned many new things, I never knew I could write poetry, I exercised and never realized that eventually i got so fit that I was able to learn Parkour, fit enough to learn BBoying moves (as I had passion for dancing since I was 13) and a lot more. Since, I was alone I tried every single thing within my grasp to pass my time and here I am from Fatso to toned body, brain and body trained good enough to learn a new skill without much effort and leading a healthy life, facing the ups and downs of life by tackling them with full power, well you can do it too!

Being Alone as Bane:
Negative Thoughts poison our brain:
Just like good food is healthy food for body good thoughts are healthy fuel for our brain. Some people may take a different fork subconsciously towards the journey to the "New world" to be explored and feed their brain with negative thoughts like, "Nobody cares if i live or die", "I am worth nothing", " I hate myself", and many more which leads you to depression and suicidal tendencies.



Lack of love for themselves:
These people lack love for themselves and eat high fat foods to please their brain, since fat is the pleasure giving agent to brain besides positive thoughts, they don't exercise and wait for this dingy time to pass by but the time is long enough that they had  done so bad to them already that when they realize, it is already too late.


Sharing my personal experience, I too took the wrong fork, I too was depressed and fed my brain with negative thoughts. The case was so severe that I was on the antidepressants because I felt sleepy all the time of day even after waking up a good nights sleep. Then I was finally fed up of myself and accepted the fact that my change resisting capability was resisting my change for good. I trained hard, did every work on schedule, found various activities to indulge in to make me so busy that I won't even think of the depressing things and gave specific amount of time to sort the things out improve myself to tackle the things which caused depression.

Well if i can do it, you can do it too, it might be my way, You got to figure your way out of the misery, try and practice every new method to make you life a boon. You can do it, since you have all the time you have right? Make your own methods to tackle problem don't count on methods of other people who had same experience because somewhere in you, you have creativity right?
And when you'll succeed, results will be overwhelming!!!

The Complete Breakfast

This is a very simple and easy to make and hassle free recipe.
Providing all the necessary nutrients and hunger satisfying meal with a very good taste.

1.Just take your breakfast cereal or oatmeal.
2.Add milk in it.
3.Add sliced bananas.
4. Add a little amount of chocolate sauce on top.
5.Enjoy.




Banana Shake

When it comes to making a banana shake there are thousand of recipes out there, but this is the one I personally made it doesn't contain sugar, i.e it will fit in all diet plans but it has natural sweetness means it can be drunk with joy also.

This recipe contains enough protein to be taken by Gym body builders or serves good as mass gainer( do not misunderstand with fat gainer)


Ingredients required:(Serves 1)
1.1 Banana
2.250 ml Milk(toned)
3.Ice cubes (as per requirement)
4.Raisins 7-8
5.Cashews 4-5
6.Almonds 2-3
7.Vanilla Essence 6-7 Drops
8.Nutrilite Protein Powder 5g (Link Below)

How to make:-
1.Take a Shake jar and place it over Mixer/Grinder.
2.Add bananas, milk, raisin, cashews, almonds  and Nutrilite protein powder.
3. Start the Mixer/Grinder and let it do it's work till the shake rises in volume and becomes smooth.
4.Add Ice cubes and vanilla essence, and grind till smooth
5.Serve chilled!

The Very First Recipe

Tea

The Very First Recipe which almost every human learns but about 90% of you learn the wrong recipe.



Green Tea:-
It is very simple to make, just add two or three pinch(not more than that, that is using a tea bag is not a good practice) of green tea in a cup or tumbler and pour boiling water and cover it for 5 minutes. Strain it and drink it.

I have tried a dozen types of green tea but the one which I prefer is:-
Organic India The Tulsi Green Tea- 100 g

Black Tea:-
This is where it gets controversial, during my visit to Kerala, I learned that most of the people and even those who think themselves as tea master make tea in a very wrong way.Here's how to make tea which has many benefits and no harm:-
1.Take two or three pinches of tea( and not teabag, that is not a good practice, tea bags are just business strategies for various companies and are only meant for making tea on the go while travelling) and put it in a kettle for one cup, multiply the quantity for multiple cups.

2.Add equivalent boiling water and cover the vessel for 5 minutes, strain and serve.

3.For Milk Tea: Do not add the milk while boiling the water, first make the tea ready after adding boiled water, leaving it for 5 minutes and straining it, then add boiling milk as per requirement and sugar according to taste and not while making the whole tea.

Every element in tea should be added in a different step and off the flame.
If we make the tea in traditional way, that is by boiling water and adding tea leaves then milk and required materials on the flame then many of the nutritional contents get burnt and thus we are unable to exploit full benefits of tea.

Tea made by this method will benefit you like green tea , unlike traditional tea there will be no gas problem, and it will give you kick start for the day too (Since, it has no L-theanine because of oxidation).

Developing Brain Powers

Develop Your Powers Of Concentration & Retention

The one who has developed his powers of concentration can read in minutes what another person could read in eight hours.


Students these days often complain that despite having studied copious notes a number of times, their confidence gets shattered at examination times as they are unable to remember that they studied. They often wonder how to develop their powers of concentration and retention. To achieve concentration powers, three yogic techniques are suggested.





  • Oxygenating the brain:For those who are required to sit for long hours at a stretch, their blood tends to get accumulated in the lower half of their bodies which means that sufficient quantity of oxygen is not pushed to the brain. This in turn negatively impacts their power of concentration. To oxygenate the brain, practice "Shirshasana" (Stand on you head with leg upwards) for 5-10 minutes daily in the morning. The brain draws plenty of blood through this which contributes to sharpening memory and concentration power. Also, avoid sitting for long hours at a stretch; take 5 minute brisk walk at regular intervals.
  • Combine Meditation with chanting: While meditating, mentally repeat your chosen mantra (any mantra). Then mingle the mantra with incoming and outgoing breaths. The powerful vibrations of mantra will permeate each and every cell of your body, bringing the breath under your control. This in turn will improve blood circulation in your body, reduce stress levels and increase you power of concentration. Practice this technique for about 20 minutes daily, preferably in early morning hours.
  • Concentration with Meditation: This technique involves steady gazing. Light a candle and place it so that it is at the level of your eye. Look straight at the flame without blinking the eyes for half a minute or for as long as you are able to keep you eyes open, Concentrate on the flame with the eyes open till tears come. When your eyes get tired, close and visualize the after-image of the flame in front of your (closed) eyes. Do this for 5 minuted before going to sleep and before you begin your studies. This will do wonders to your power of concentration.
Swami Sivanada says,"When you study a book, focus your whole mind on the subject in hand. Do not allow the mind to see any external object or hear any sound. Collect all dissipated rays of mind. When mental rays are concentrated, illumination begins."
